I'm a Des Moines-area bookkeeper who helps small business owners keep their finances organized, accurate, and easy to understand.
I started out handling the books for my family's own small business, and I've seen firsthand how much easier it is to run a business when the numbers are clean, current, and easy to understand. I started Des Moines Bookkeeping to bring that same care to local business owners who'd rather spend their time doing what they do best.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to use QuickBooks Online?
QuickBooks Online is preferred. If you don't have it yet, I can set it up for you, or move you over from spreadsheets or QuickBooks Desktop.
Do you only work with businesses in the Des Moines area?
Most of my clients are in the Des Moines area, including West Des Moines, Waukee, Clive, Urbandale, Ankeny and Johnston. Since most work is done online, I serve small businesses across Iowa too.
Can you catch up books that are months behind?
Yes. Catch-up and cleanup projects are quoted as a one-time fee based on how many months need work, then you can move to monthly service.
Do you file taxes?
I don't prepare tax returns, but I keep your books clean and tax-ready and work directly with your CPA at year end.
